Welcome
We, the EAA UL1 Microlights, strive to keep the original intent of Part 103 alive and well within our Chapter. We also do our best to preserve the origins of ultralight flight in our area by keeping original designs flying safely. We do our best to keep our membership involved in the continuing education, advancement and overall spirit of light aviation. We work to present new ideas and ways in which to keep our membership informed and involved in the latest news and technology available. We are, and continue to be, a family orientated group of aviation enthusiasts. Our intent is to include all family members in our monthly Chapter meetings and all annually scheduled events. It is also our mission to introduce and educate the general public about ultralights and light aviation whenever and where ever possible.

Late Breaking News - Presidents Update
Report Date: 2/3/12 Unfortunately I was unable to make the January meeting due to a minor health issue. I was pleased to read in the meeting minutes that some important Chapter decisions were voted and agreed upon. One of those was the support and flexibility of our Chapter’s education fund. With two winners in our EAA Air Academy contest and only one spot left in camp, a suggestion was brought before the group. That was to use the Air Academy enrollment money for local flight instruction. I agree 100% with that decision and hope that the winner benefits from the experience. I have gone through the Chapter library materials and started laying them out by media and year. I hope to get everything organized and categorized by this spring. I will post a new library list and establish a means to allow access to these materials upon request. I see there was some discussion about AirVenture and the annual pig roast date and timing. We can discuss and then organize to have our collective voices heard at the right time and place. Stay warm and fly safe.
Thanks, |
